stepping back into the world of bookbinding

This year I have been very lucky with having the opportunity to focus on writing poetry and that has meant all my bookbinding projects have laid unfinished and forgotten. Now my mental health craves a break from using just words, so I’m hoping to reintroduce bookbinding to my routines and juggle both professions for a while. Last night I folded a huge stack of signatures for some vintage kimono silk journals, but I’m not setting a deadline for finishing them. While things have been quiet here on the blog, there’s been some activity on Instagram and Etsy, so here’s a quick update on new-ish books now available:

A stack of medium/large hardcover journals with recycled paper pages - the paper is suitable for all dry media.

Large natural linen notebooks with gold details on the front cover and in the endpapers - only one left, I’m afraid!

You can find the above books in the Paperiaarre Etsy shop. Soon, I hope, I’ll have some gorgeous kimono journals to share with you, and maybe an update on a bilingual poetry artists’ book, too.
