So the big news is... I'm Poppytalk's Special Guest for this week! My daily posts about things that inspire me can be read here. Today's post is about an environmental work of art by Kaisa Salmi. There were over 100 000 gerberas on the stairs and in front of Turku cathedral. Yesterday people got to take them home. Now we have gerberas of three different colors on our balcony (and the tomatoes have gotten a new big planting pot!). DH picked up the loose flowers from the ground, so our kitchen table is much prettier than usual too.
I don't like going to art galleries. I think they're a bit creepy most of the time. But I like it when art comes to me. Who could resist a sea of flowers? Or fabric chandeliers hanging from trees?
