man in the street / kadunmies
A couple of weeks ago the university library sold tons of old books. I behaved and only made V buy me a handful to cut up. Apparently, in 1959, it was important for a Finn to know the phrase man in the street. It was in the dictionary of foreign words, where I also found comme ci, comme ça. I can't remember if it was my mother or someone else who said so, but I remember that phrase from my childhood. Komsii komsaa.
