Fancy books

I'm obviously making up lost crafting time. I finished these two beauties yesterday and today was a gocco-day. Blog and shop updates are to follow. I need to be creative while I still have lots of free time. My job at the library starts in the beginning of April. I'm a bit scared already, excited of course, but scared of loosing my freedom, too. I've been on my own for so long, that I'm a bit worried about not having enough time for all my creative projects. Well, I shouldn't worry about it yet. I have over three weeks of full time crafting left.

I had weddings in my mind while making these books. Just the right combination of romance and elegance. Not too tacky to use as a daily journal either!

Coptic bound guest book covered with super smooth, high sheen natural linen. Vintage lace decoration.
8.4"x6"x0.8" (21,4x15,2x2cm), 72 smooth off-white pages with torn edges.

This is the beautiful paper bought from the craft fair last weekend. Off-white lokta paper with golden flower kind of things.

This book comes in a sage green linen drawstring pouch (9.1"x13.8"/23x35cm). Drawstring is natural linen with vintage mother-of-pearl buttons. The pouch can be used for storing the book, or for storing congratulatory cards, love letters or such.

Coptic bound guest book covered with fine sage green natural linen. Vintage lace decoration. Inside of covers as above.
8.4"x6"x0.7" (21,4x15,2x1,7cm), 56 smooth off-white pages with torn edges.

Of course this sage green book comes in a natural linen pouch. These books would be a wonderful pair too. Maybe for two sisters or daughters...

Jonimatti is going through his old drawings. I'm getting all nostalgic too. So many drawings of me doing something creative, sleeping, or sitting next to a puzzle. Now I'm starting to do more creative things again, as our TV is gone for good. Bye bye, you won't be missed! (much)
