Don't think I'm going to update every day for the rest of my life!
The day is almost gone, but it's not too late yet: Happy birthday mom! Hyvää synttäriä äiti! (I did call her midday!)
Today was the day when I realized I need to start getting up earlier. The sun was shining straight into our bed so early it felt inhumane for me to wake up. Of course I could change the curtains into less see-through ones, but I think the waking up early is the thing I should do. Although it was pretty nice to wake up with the sun shining, but it felt a little criminal to try and sleep after seeing that.
Two new books today! And my hands are still shaking from cutting boards for many books yet to come.
Here's another bird book. I seem to never get enough of crows and such. This one is stenciled with brown black on natural linen. The book is pretty small: 4 5/8"x5 3/16"x11/16" (11,7x13,2x1,8cm). 76 white pages sewn with waxed natural linen thread.
In addition to birds I like pebbles too. This is a design that's been in my head for ages, but for some reason it didn't want to come out until yesterday. This book is covered in grayish light blue linen, and it has 84 smooth and thick gray pages. 4 7/16"x 6 7/16"x3/4" (11,6x16,4x2cm).
This photo is an action shot featuring our granny-ish living room carpet. No time for fancy photo shoots when I get trade mail from the lovely daskaninchen. She's no easter bunny, although I found all kinds of surprise treasures from the package. Thanks so much Shannah! You're a sweetheart!
Blackbird 9 (buy blackbird 17 here!) is now hanging from our balcony door key, the Fibonacci rabbit is still waiting for someone with a drill stop by our house. We have bought beautiful picture shelves, but we need outside help (or a drill) to get them on our brick wall. For now the bunny is on our window sill. I hope she (is it a she? I hope it is!) isn't afraid of Sylvester the Cat, who lives in the opposite house, staring at us constantly from someone's window. How rude of him.
