autumnal coptic trio

Trios are great. I really enjoy making just about anything in threes! This week I whipped together this trio of small Coptic bound notebooks in autumnal colours. "Whipped together" is naturally a serious understatement. Even after over 10 years of making Coptic bound books, it still takes a good while to put one together. Practice does make everything quicker and more efficient, but I still spent almost all of Tuesday evening just sewing these books. Luckily I was kept company by several episodes of a document series about British castles! Yet another thing to build up my London mood...

I don't usually travel all the time, but it didn't take me a week after coming back from Florence to start planning a trip to London next month. A serious mood booster was needed. I'll be traveling solo for the first time in six years, and I can't wait to wander around with only my own hunger and feet to consider. As much as I love traveling with V, it's still great to get to travel alone this time. I plan on hoarding both paper and vintage finds, so this trip should serve as a work inspiration for a good long while.

In many ways making these three books was a back-to-the-basics thing to me. These are my classics. The minimalistic design makes these super easy to gift, but they're still unlike any book you can find at your usual notebook shopping location. I've never grown tired of making these solid colour linen Coptics, and I doubt I ever will. I should make a London journal, and I just might make myself one like this. If you'd like to own one of these three, you can now find them in my shop. Also just listed is the collage I shared on Monday. I hope everything finds a good home soon!
